Father Tom Ferrera

frtom I welcome you to St Mary’s. Please take a moment to explore all that is happening here at our parish. Through the intercession of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, we seek to encounter our Lord in our daily interactions, activities and work. May God bless our parish, our town of Tillsonburg and each of our families.

Deacon Andre De Decker

deaconandre I am married to Bonnie; we have four children and two grandchildren. After teaching high school for 30 years, I retired in 1998 and was ordained as a permanent deacon on November 3, 2007. I am a parish volunteer. My duties include being the coordinator of Adult Faith Development, arranging the baptism of infants and young children in the parish, and preparing the families for celebrating the sacrament of baptism. I do home and hospital visits upon request. Liturgically I proclaim the Gospel, occasionally preach Sunday homilies and weekday reflections, and am a minister of communion, baptism, marriage and funerals outside of mass.

On November 7th, 2009 I was ordained a permanent deacon. My assignment is to St. Mary's Tillsonburg - and to also assist at Sacred Heart Langton. Among other things my ministries include: serving mass, preaching, wedding and funeral liturgies outside of mass, outreach, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Maple Manor Nursing Home, palliative care through Oxford VON, Sunday reading reflection group and "being present" to anyone in need . . .

Colleen Hanley

colleenhanley Hi! My name is Colleen Hanley and I am married to Deacon Brian and we have two children. As the Pastoral Minister here at St. Mary’s, I am called to meet the changing needs of our parish working together with the pastoral team and the many active groups in our parish. My role is to work with families, to promote family ministry in our parish programs, in the school and sacramental preparation. I have a unique opportunity to help families find ways in our secular society to be rooted in Christ, in our rich and beautiful Catholic faith. In the schools I have opportunities to build relationships with the children and their families and invite them into our parish community. In youth ministry programming our young people feel welcomed and safe in this crazy world they are navigating knowing that they are loved. I am always available to have coffee with parents or ice cream with our youth so please feel free to contact me by email or phone or introduce yourself at mass – I love meeting new people!
